Edge Grind 4 Cyl Camshaft

Edge Grinding is when we bevel the edge of each individual lobe on the camshaft. This allows oil to wick off the sides easier to reduce drag and parasitic loss. It also helps to prevent the edges of the lobe from cutting into the lifters. Furthermore, by grinding the lobe edge it also stress relieves it which helps the lobes under high spring pressures.

This additional process is highly recommended on any performance cam that has high lift, or that will see high RPM.
