We are now offering an improved lightening service for Sea-Doo / Rotax 3 cyl camshafts. We carefully remove metal from the outside diameter of the area between the cam journals and cut the proper corner radius into the recess for optimum strength and reudced deflection. This stock removal slightly reduces the centrifugal mass of the camshaft, which cam be helpful for stability at very high RPMs. Two different stages of lightening service are available.
Sport Lightening Service
We remove 0.125" from the O.D. between the two center pairs of journals. This level is suggested for most recreational watercraft.
Race Lightening Service
We remove 0.250" from the O.D. between the journals and 0.050" from the area between the camshaft face and the first journal. This service is only suggested for racing watercraft.
